AHRA 2009 ANNUAL MEETING AND EXPOSITION
AHRA’s 2009 Annual Meeting and Exposition will be held August 9-13 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
More than 1,000 imaging leaders will attend the premier educational event for radiology administration. AHRA offers dozens of sessions addressing a wide range of management issues, including: finance, human resources, communication and information, operations, and assets. Other topics relevant to professional development are also offered.

What’s new at the 2009 Annual Meeting?
There are a few changes to the AHRA annual meeting in 2009 that we want you to know http://www.ahraonline.org
CE Credit update: You must be ON TIME for every session or you will not be eligible for CE credit. There is no “buffer” time as in the past.
Session ID Number: At the end of every session, the proctor will announce a 4-digit session ID number unique to that session. This number will only be used for validation if you contact us after the meeting to say that you did not receive credit for a session you attended so we may verify that you were actually at that session. A section for recording the session ID number will be included in the on-site program next to each session, so be sure to save your program until all your credits have been verified.
Session handouts: It’s easy being green – session handouts will no longer be printed and distributed in the sessions. In the past, this has led to a large amount of waste. Instead, AHRA will post the handouts on the web site 1-2 weeks before the start of the conference so attendees may print the handouts for the sessions they wish to attend in advance and bring them to the conference. Notes sections will also be available in the onsite program notebook.
Practice Management track is now being offered! Are you a Business Manager in charge of everything from A to Z in your organization? Are areas such as accreditation, coding and reimbursement, human resources and facility management within your scope of responsibility? Then AHRA has a new conference track designed with you in mind. AHRA is rolling out the new Practice Management Track at the 2009 Annual Meeting. This track is designed to meet the professional needs of managers in charge of operations, workflow practices, facilities management, marketing, revenue development, accounts receivable management and much more. In this economic environment many administrators and managers have to choose one education venue to obtain all their training and continuing education credit. AHRA recognizes the need to get as much out of the Annual Meeting for your organization as possible. Look for the specially highlighted Practice Management Track sessions and join other managers like yourself in learning more about the topics that are most critical to your day-to-day management responsibilities.
New session time slot: Wednesday 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm! In response to member demand, the Annual Meeting Design team has added a limited number of sessions on Wednesday at 1:00 pm while the exhibit hall is open. Click here to view the sessions being offered at this time.
Poster Session: Many associations offer poster sessions at an annual meeting to give attendees an opportunity to present research in a short, succinct manner for their peers to learn from. The theme for AHRA's poster session is "performance improvement." Entries must be related to something entrants have done at their facilities and they must show measurable outcomes. The topic should be broad, but provide specific examples – eg, patient satisfaction, new technology, Six Sigma, Lean, safety, turnaround times, process times, results reporting, costs, false negatives/positives.
