Goals/Aspirations:
My current goal is to purchase a home by mid-summer as we recently moved from PA to OH. I continually aspire to become a better leader . . . it is a lifelong journey.
What is the biggest industry change you’ve seen since you began a career in medical imaging?
The biggest change I've seen is probably analog to digital imaging. When I think back many years ago and recall having wet processed films and compare to our current PACS system I am amazed how far we have advanced.
What do you believe to be the biggest challenge to imaging administrators today and why?
I believe one of the biggest challenges is in staffing with respect to blending the generations that make up our current workforce. We must constantly develop ways to engage staff in a manner which caters to their framework in the areas of staffing, interdepartmental relations, and patient experience.
What advice can you give to young people just entering the medical imaging field?
The best advice I can give is to get involved, get involved, get involved . . . in your department, your organization, your professional society, and your community.
