On July 30, 2001, AHRA announced the launch of its biggest endeavor in the organization's 29-year history. Supported by a $1 million grant from Kodak Health Imaging, AHRA established a new program for radiology administrators to become certified, earning them the credentials CRA: Certified Radiology Administrator.
