Many members use the AHRA List Server daily to share valuable information with peers worldwide. With such a large interest in participating in the List Server, it becomes necessary to be mindful and considerate at all times when using the List Server. As with any community, there are guidelines governing behavior on the list server. For instance, violating antitrust regulations, libeling others, selling, and marketing are not permissible. Please adhere to these guidelines whenever you post a message to the List Server.

Posting to List Server. When posting a message submit your message in plain text.

• Keep It Relevant. This List Server is dedicated to providing a forum to share information on radiology, healthcare and management issues. Keep your postings related to these topics. If you want to share ideas on other topics, use personal e-mail.
  
  
• Do Not Autorespond. If you plan to use autoresponder (an automatic reply that is sent to everyone who e-mails you) when you are going to be away from your e-mail, you MUST change your list server setting to "no mail". Every List Server message that is sent will prompt an autoresponse to the entire list, jamming the list with useless messages. There is no limit to the number of times you can change your list server settings.
  
  
• Is Your Message Pertinent to the List? Contact the person individually if you would like them to fax/email you a document they have offered to the list. If you wish to reply to a specific individual (for example, to request a fax or attachment), do not reply to the entire list. Use the individual's e-mail address and request or share your information. Always check the "To:" box before hitting send. Do not clutter the list with "me toos".
  
  
• Do Not Post Pricing, Terms/Conditions of Sales, Salaries, Profit Information, or Human Resources Confidential Information. Messages should not be posted if they encourage or facilitate members to arrive at any agreement that either expressly or impliedly leads to price fixing, a boycott of another's business, or other conduct that is intended to illegally restrict free trade. Messages which encourage or facilitate an agreement about the following subjects are inappropriate: prices, discounts, or terms or conditions of sale; salaries; profits, profit margins or cost data; market shares, sales territories, or markets; allocation of customers or territories; or selection, rejection or termination of customers, suppliers, or employees.
  
  
• Do Not Advertise Services or Job Listings. The List Server is a discussion forum --not an advertising vehicle. AHRA has provided alternative outlets for these requests; please use them. Do not post commercial messages. Contact people directly with products and services that you believe would help them.
  
  
• Do Not Send Attachments. Attachments are not allowed on our List Server. If you have an attachment to share, provide your email address and ask those interested to e-mail you directly. AHRA as an association must adhere to copyright and antitrust laws. AHRA's legal counsel has advised us that many of the materials list server participants wish to share are the property of the organization for which they are (or were) employed. Thus, you as an individual are making an individual choice in sharing a document to assume the risk of violating copyright laws or your employment agreement signed by the organization's legal representative.
  
  
• Be Mindful that Messages are not Confidential. As with any e-mail communication, messages on the list server are not confidential. Users must assume that any information posted is accessible by others, including employers. In creating electronic messages, users must be aware that messages may have to be produced in connection with a lawsuit or to the government.
  
  
• Be Courteous. Please treat everyone with respect, and refrain from using angry or condescending tones toward individuals when posting to the list. Abusive and obscene language will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the list. All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited.

AHRA expressly disclaims all warranties regarding any and all information posted on this site, whether posted by AHRA, its members or any other person or entity. This disclaimer includes a disclaimer of all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular use or purpose.

AHRA shall not be responsible or liable for any special, indirect, consequential or other damage whatsoever arising out of or resulting form the use or performance of any information posted on this site.

Do not post any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal material or statements.

Do not post any material protected by copyright without the express written permission of the copyright owner. By posting material to this List Server, the posting party warrants and represents that it owns the copyright with respect to any material posted or has received permission from the copyright owner. The posting party grants AHRA, its members and List Server users, the non-exclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print and use such information or material posted to this List Server.

Do not post any information or material that identifies specific fees, wages or salaries paid or the identity of such payer or payee. Do not post any information or material that identifies prices paid for products, discounts received on products or terms or conditions obtained relating to the purchase of products.

AHRA does not monitor this List Server for inappropriate postings and does not undertake editorial control of postings.

In the event that an inappropriate posting is brought to AHRA's attention, AHRA shall take all appropriate and necessary action. AHRA reserves the right to terminate access to this List Server to any user who does not abide by these guidelines.

The following corrective action plan will be used, should a message be brought to AHRA's attention that is a violation of AHRA's list server guidelines.

Corrective Action Plan:

1. Warning for the first two violations
2. A third violation of any type results in a suspension of list server access of one week
3. A fourth violation of any type results in a suspension of list server privileges for two weeks.
4. A fifth violation of any type results in a one-month suspension of list server privileges.
5. Termination of any list server privileges may follow.
