Competency assessment is important for ensuring quality patient care and for satisfying JCAHO requirements. The radiology administrator recognizes this and as the leader for the department plays a critical role in assessing and maintaining competency among departmental staff.

This monograph, written by AHRA members, includes sample assessment forms for some of the various job descriptions within the radiology department that are easy to copy and use. All major modalities are covered for technologists, transportation staff and patient service representatives.
